COVID-19 RESPONSE AND PREVENTION SCENARIO AT VIETSTAR INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD.

I. ASSESSMENT AND FORECAST OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC SITUATION

Given the extremely complex and unpredictable developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially the clusters of cases carrying SARS-CoV-2 variants originating from India and the UK with very rapid spread, although no COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the Phu Nghia Industrial Park, Chuong My District, Hanoi, SARS-CoV-2 cases have appeared in industrial parks in Bac Giang and Hung Yen provinces. As of May 11, 2021, there have been 3 SARS-CoV-2 infections in 3 businesses across 2 industrial parks in Hanoi, thus the risk of infection in industrial parks remains high.

II. OBJECTIVES AND REQUIREMENTS

- To develop effective response measures in case of an outbreak, aiming to prevent and control the spread of disease, thereby protecting the health and lives of all employees at the Company.

- To closely monitor and promptly detect cases at risk, infected, or suspected of being infected, in order to take timely preventive measures and prevent the disease from entering the workplace.

- To enhance the participation of all employees in the Company in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic.

III. SUBJECTS, SCOPE, AND APPLICATION PERIOD

1. Subjects: All employees of VIETSTAR Industrial Co., Ltd.

2. Scope: VIETSTAR Industrial Co., Ltd. factory at Lot CN-1, Phu Nghia Industrial Park, Chuong My District, Hanoi.

3. Duration: Applicable from May 13, 2021 until further notice of the end of the epidemic.

IV. HYPOTHESIS AND RESPONSE SOLUTIONS

1. Scenario 1: No cases of illness in the workplace.

- Intensify information and communication to ensure employees strictly adhere to the Ministry of Health's 5K message (disinfection, avoiding gatherings, social distancing, health declaration, and masks).

- Prohibit unauthorized persons from entering the factory area.

- Measure the body temperature of all employees and visitors (if any) entering the factory/company to promptly detect suspected cases.

- Avoid large gatherings in public areas, canteens, break areas between shifts, and after meal breaks.

- Limit contact with strangers and people from the same workshop, production line, or factory.

- Maintain a safe distance when interacting.

- Avoid unnecessary large gatherings, meetings, and celebrations; encourage online meetings and the use of IT for work processing and communication.

- Prepare sufficient equipment, supplies, and logistics to provide for at least 48 hours for all factory workers in case of a COVID-19 case.

2. Situation 2: There is a case of close contact with a patient (F1).

- In addition to maintaining the activities in Situation 1, the Company should promptly report via hotline (Standing Committee of the Steering Committee of the District Health Center of Chuong My: 02433866052; Steering Committee in charge of Phu Nghia Industrial Park, Mr. Doan Minh Duc 08.32298383) to implement necessary medical measures.

- Compile a list and monitor the health status of those who have had close contact with the F1 case; Strictly adhere to the regulations on health reporting and declaration.

- Monitor the health of employees and individuals/organizations visiting the factory/company.

- Continue to promote awareness campaigns and promptly provide information to employees to ensure effective disease prevention measures and prevent panic and anxiety.

- Coordinate with health authorities to implement containment, disinfection, and sterilization measures.

- Continue to utilize information technology (Messenger, Zalo, AMIS, Room, etc.) to handle and process work online from home. Only essential departments should work at the factory.

3. Situation 3: Appearance of a COVID-19 case (F0).

- In addition to maintaining the activities in situations 1 and 2; The factory/company promptly reported the case via hotline (Standing Committee of the Steering Committee of the District Health Center of Chuong My: 02433866052; Steering Committee in charge of Phu Nghia Industrial Park, Mr. Doan Minh Duc 08.32298383) and relevant authorities to implement medical measures and minimize the spread of the disease within the factory and to the community.

- Compile a list and manage the health of those who had close contact (F1, F2) with the infected person (F0), reporting promptly to relevant authorities for timely implementation of necessary medical measures.

- Direct the implementation of health declarations and closely monitor the health of all employees; report any organizations or individuals visiting the factory to the health authorities.

- Strengthen communication and promptly provide information to ensure employees effectively implement disease prevention and control measures, avoiding panic and anxiety.

- Coordinate with health authorities to implement containment measures, disinfection, sterilization, and collection of patient waste (used masks, tissues, paper towels, etc.), and carry out other disease prevention and control measures as directed by the authorities.

- Implement other disease prevention and control measures as directed by the health authorities.

- Report daily on the disease situation and disease prevention and control measures to the relevant authorities.

V. IMPLEMENTATION ORGANIZATION

1. All leaders and employees of the Company shall proactively implement comprehensive solutions, be ready to respond and provide support when situations arise; proactively implement isolation measures when detecting disease symptoms.
