HYPERSILICA™ 92U is a highly reactive, ultra-fine, non-compressed silica fume (also known as microsilica) mineral additive. Its main component is amorphous spherical SiO2 mineral obtained during the arc production of silica and silica alloys from quartz.

The average particle size of HYPERSILICA™ 92U is approximately 5 microns, which is 100 times smaller than cement particles.

HYPERSILICA™ 92U conforms to the following standards: US ASTM C-1240; Canada CAN/CSA-A23.5, Europe EN 13263, Japan JIS A6207, Korea KS F2567, China GB/T18736, and Vietnam TCVN 8827.

Product Detail

HYPERSILICA™ 92U ultrafine spherical particles fill the gaps between cement particles and the voids in concrete and mortar mixtures. They increase the workability of concrete and mortar mixtures, minimizing segregation and water separation.

HYPERSILICA™ 92U belongs to the Puzzolan family, so it reacts with Ca(OH)2 (a product of cement hydration) to form calcium silicate (CSH) with binding properties.

HYPERSILICA™ 92U increases strength, reduces permeability, and decreases the Ca(OH)2 content of concrete and mortar, thereby increasing their durability.

HYPERSILICA™ 92U increases resistance to sulfate corrosion, increases resistance to chlorine corrosion, and eliminates alkali-aggregate reactions.

In addition, concrete and mortar using HYPERSILICA™ 92U have superior abrasion and erosion resistance compared to conventional concrete.

It minimizes the heat of hydration of concrete during mass concrete construction.

It enhances the early strength of concrete and mortar.
